University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center - Press Release

UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO AT DENVER AND HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER SECOND COLORADO SCHOOL TO PROVIDE REVOLUTIONARY JOB FINDING SYSTEM TO EVERY STUDENT

July 21, 2006 - Denver, Colo. - The University of Colorado at Denver and Health Science Center (UCDHSC) today announced that it would soon begin providing free copies of the High Impact Job Search system to every current student and everyone who graduated from the University in the past year.

The High Impact Job SearchT system, developed by Colorado-based, High Impact Career Products teaches job seekers how to land great jobs without using resumes, answering job ads or engaging in traditional networking; activities college students dread.

"The High Impact Job Search system provides benefits to both career centers and students", said Paul Worthman, Assistant Director of the Career Center at UCDHSC. "It enables a career center to provide a resource that gives students an effective and proactive job search system. And it does so without necessarily increasing demands on the career center staff."

Budget constraints are always a factor for career centers, yet Worthman noted, "The High Impact Job Search system is so affordable, career centers can provide the program to every member of every graduating class. The High Impact system enables career centers to leverage their limited resources in a way that saves time, saves money, and helps more students jump start their professional careers."

Worthman and Richard Hewitt, President and CEO of High Impact Career Products are collaborating on a course to be offered at UCDHSC through the Career Center. The course is based on the nine steps that comprise a successful job search campaign.

In a related decision, the Career Center will also make free copies of the High Impact Job Search system available to students and graduates at both its Health Science Center campuses. The Colorado School of Mines (Golden, Colorado) began providing the High Impact Job Search system to its students and graduates in April of this year. The system has been very popular with students and alumni according to Ron Brummett, Director of the School of Mines Career Center.
